West Midlands Quality Centre (WMQC), formed in 2001, is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to creating exceptional value for customers, partners and employees.

We support organisations in the region to achieve performance improvements through the use of National and International Standards and good practice. We provide advice, assessment and business solution services for organisations of all sizes, and from all sectors.

For example, the Investors in People Standard, with over 37,000 recognised organisations throughout the UK and around 3,000 in the West Midlands, is a proven business improvement tool. WMQC is part of the national delivery network for this Standard and is the only accredited Assessment Centre licensed by Investors in People UK to support organisations to achieve the Standard and conduct assessment, recognition and associated services within the West Midlands. To maintain this status, we undertake rigorous, annual assessment against national quality standards.

Our licence enables us to undertake assessments against the Investors in People Standard (Leadership & Management, Recruitment & Selection and Work Life Balance Models).  

WMQC can also provide a wide range of services to organisations working with other National and International Quality Standards such as: ISO9001:2000, ISO 14001, OHSAS18001 and Lexcel. Our advisers offer a complete package tailored to your needs from design and implementation of a management framework to accreditation and on-going audit.
