Founded in 1996 SFEDI's main role is to develop national occupational standards which act as:

• A set of tools to help anyone thinking about starting their own business, starting their business enterprise or growing their business enterprise
• A set of tools for anyone who is offering business advice and support to small business enterprises
• A framework for the development of awards and qualifications in business support and enterprise
• A benchmark of best practice in the world of small business support and enterprise development

As an accredited SFEDI Centre of Excellence in Enterprise Development and Business Support, WMQC is able to offer a range of SFEDI endorsed awards and qualifications.

The Centre supports the region's industry-led Constructing Excellence clubs and delivers the regional demonstration programme to showcase innovation and best practice.

WMCCE was set up with support from Advantage West Midlands and the European Regional Development Fund, to improve the capabilities and competitiveness of the West Midlands construction industry.

As a delivery partner to WMCEE, WMQC work in partnership implementing ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment) and OHSAS 18001 (Health & Safety) for the Construction industry or organisations who are part of the Construction industry supplier chain.

Lexcel is the Law Society's practice management standard. It is a scheme for any type of practice to certify that certain standards have been met following independent assessment.

The Lexcel practice management standard is only awarded to solicitors who meet the highest management and customer care standards. Lexcel accredited practices undergo rigorous independent assessment every year to ensure they meet required standards of excellence in areas such as client care, case management and risk management.

WMQC is a licensed assessment body for Lexcel. We provide a complete service from initial review, approved training, consultancy and support to help you implement the Standard through to assessment.

This awarding body offers a wide range of General and Vocational qualifications that equip learners with the knowledge and skills they need for their future.

WMQC is an OCR Accredited NVQ Centre licensed to deliver a range of qualifications and NVQs at all levels.

The LSC is a non-departmental public body which began work in 2001, taking over the roles of the former Further Education Funding Council and Training and Enterprise Councils.

The LSC are responsible for planning and funding high quality education and training for everyone in England other than those in universities. It’s national office is based in Coventry with nine regional offices overseeing the work of local partnership teams throughout the county.

WMQC is an approved provider to the LSC and has been successfully awarded a range of contracts including amongst others: the public sector skills challenge.

Formed in 1993, Investors in People UK is a non-departmental public body, which receives funding from the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills. It is responsible for business planning, policy development and promotion of the Investors in People framework.

Investors in People’s vision is to increase the productivity of the UK economy by improving the way in which organisations manage and develop their people, leading to business improvement and better public services.

Investors in People West Midlands is one of Nine regional Investors in People Centres. Investors in People West Midlands operates within WMQC.

The Institute are leaders in producing research on the latest ‘hot’ management issues, providing a vast array of useful information through their online management information centre, as well as offering consultancy services and career information.

WMQC is an approved Chartered Management Institute Centre accredited to deliver a range of the Institute’s management development programmes and qualifications.
