Programme Aim
The Management NVQ Programme will enable you to gain a nationally recognised qualification to prove that your skills, knowledge and competence in management meet the national standards. This course is ideal if you would like to boost your management skills, sharpen your awareness of best practice, enhance your overall management performance and progress your career.
Management Framework
The NVQ framework comprises of a series of both mandatory and optional units that are relevant to the desired level of qualification. Learners can align a selection of optional units to which best suit their role and responsibilities; subsequently this qualification provides you with formal recognition of your performance that is ultimately relevant to your role.
- OCR Level 3 NVQ in Management
To achieve a full award, candidates must complete four mandatory units and three optional units (seven units in total) - OCR Level 4 NVQ in Management
To achieve a full award, candidates must complete five mandatory units and three optional units (eight units in total) - OCR Level 5 NVQ in Management
To achieve a full award, candidates must complete four mandatory units and three optional units (seven units in total) - Defined responsibility

Who are these qualifications for?
This qualification is ideal for managers and leaders at all levels who manage a team, provide leadership within the organisation and are responsible for its performance. To successfully complete this course you are expected to be working in one of the job roles outlined above and in a position to collect appropriate evidence.

Whilst there are no formal requirements you need to be working at the appropriate level to demonstrate competence. Ideally, people undertaking this qualification will have:
Qualification Delivery
The journey to Management NVQ qualification begins with a ‘skills scan’ and action planning. Candidates plan a programme of development and assessment with their assessor and compile a portfolio of evidence to prove that they are competent and knowledgeable within their role.
Regular interaction is maintained with your assessor who will provide developmental feedback against the evidence presented. Assessment further comprises of a mixture of ‘on the job’ observations and professional discussion.
